Cruising - What Comes to Mind?

Email a friend

What comes to mind?

Pure relaxation? Activities galore? Cocktails on the deck? Food for Africa? Fun with family/ friends? New experiences? All true.

.

I have just returned from a 3 night cruise out of Sydney on the Pacific Jewel.  Where did I go? Nowhere! Cruised out to sea, did a loop and came back into Sydney harbour. Perfect for that short getaway, catch up with friends, sample a cruise to see if it’s for you.

The great thing about cruising is you can do as much or as little as you like.  Onboard you can try your hand at the dance classes, join in the trivia games, listen to the bands, watch the shows, eat till you drop or just sit by the pool, relax and read a book. All up to you.

We were fortunate to have a balcony cabin. This means instead of being on the inside of the ship with no window (so never know what time of day it is), or an outside cabin with just a window, we had our own balcony adjoined to our room.  Standing on the balcony as we sailed away with a glass of wine in hand, watching the dolphins swim by below and seeing the sunset are all amazing memories I will remember from my first cruise.

My next cruise I will be sure to visit some ports so that I experience that. You cruise at night and arrive at a new port each day and spend the day exploring.  I won’t discount the option of getting a balcony cabin again as I know how good it was!
